I would like to welcome you to Foxhills Infant School. We are a happy, friendly and nurturing school, dedicated to developing every child as an individual. We are committed to ensuring our pupils grow both academically as well as personally, and aim to teach our children values for life as well as skills and knowledge.

Our curriculum is organised into exciting projects and enables children to learn in a variety of ways. Our six acre woodland and extensive grounds offer pupils the chance to explore the natural world as part of their day to day schooling. We aim to inspire and motivate our young learners and we actively encourage children to ask questions and contemplate key ideas.   Our teaching methods are dynamic and engaging; we recognise that children are naturally curious and we develop this by providing opportunities for exploration, discovery and reflection. We ensure that children experience independent learning as well as opportunities to work in groups to enjoy shared outcomes.

At Foxhills we value independence, thinking, spirituality, collaboration, emotional awareness and creativity.  These values are taught explicitly through our curriculum projects and assemblies, and they also inform our approaches to teaching and learning, and extra curricular activities.

We work in close partnership with all our families. We understand that parents are our children's first teachers and recognise how crucial it is to work alongside parents to enable every child to succeed in their early years. 'Celebrations of Work' enable parents to come into school to share their child's successes and achievements. We have an open door policy and encourage parents to talk about concerns or worries with school staff. Our active PTA hold numerous fund raising events throughout the school year which are very popular with children and their families. By joining Foxhills you will be part of a happy, lively and committed community.

Our children are fascinating and inspiring. It is a privilege working alongside them and watching them grown and learn. The Foxhills team are passionate about ensuring that every child leaves our school achieving well and with happy memories. Our overarching aim is 'Joy in Learning'.

Please come and see us in action, I look forward to meeting you and your child.
